About the Artists:
Linda Sacra started crafting glass beads and designing jewelry in 1992. Originally self-taught, Linda began working strips of glass with a plumber’s torch. Linda says, "The first mandrels I used were made of copper. That lasted about five seconds because copper is not cheap! Although I didn’t have a clue of what I was doing, I did know that I loved doing it so I practiced, practiced, practiced!
Linda continued honing her craft and studied at the Penland School of Fine Craft in Penland, NC and has become renowned for her lampworking and jewelry design. Sacra now teaches glass lampworking regularly at her alma mater, the Penland School of Fine Craft as well as in select workshops in NC. Sacra's award winning work is shown in Fine Art Galleries throughout the Southeast and is collected nationally.
